Here are a few steam inhalation and massage recipes for oily skin and hair.

Steam baths for oily skin
6 dps Juniperberry Essential oil
4 dps Lemon Essential oil
4 dps Cypress Essential oil

or
2 drops Geranium Essential Oil
2 drops Grapefruit Essential Oil
2 drops Rosemary Essential Oil

or
2 drops Cypress Essential Oil
2 drops Lemon Essential Oil
2 drops Juniperberry Essential Oil

Mix these essentials oil into boiling water. Hold a towel over your head and bend over the bowl, draping the towel over the bowl so the steam does not escape.   After 5−10 minutes rinse your face with tepid − cool water and pat dry.

For Oily Hair

3 drps Ylang Ylang Essential oil
3 drps Lime Essential oil
2 drps Rosemary Essential oil
Carrier oil- 2 tablespoons

Mix all ingredients then apply 1 teaspoon to hair and scalp and massage in leaving it to soak in for several hours or overnight. Wash your hair twice with a natural unscented shampoo. Use 3 times a week. 

Oily skin massages

25ml of Carrier oil.
4 drps of Ylang Ylang essential oil
3 drops of Peppermint essential oil
3 drops of Geranium essential oil

or
3 drps Geranium Essential Oil
2 drps Lemon Essential Oil
3 drps Palmarosa Essential Oil
2 drps Rosemary Essential Oil

or
2 drps Bergamot Essential Oil
3 drps Cypress Essential Oil
2 drps Frankincense Essential Oil
3 drps Petitgrain Essential Oil

or
4 drops Geranium Essential Oil
3 drops Grapefruit Essential Oil
3 drops Lavender Essential Oil

Fractionated coconut oil and Apricot kernel oil are thinner carrier oils which are beneficial for oily skin as not to thick.

Ylang Ylang essential oil is renowned for being an essential oil for love and romance. 

Try these romantic massage blends in 50ml of carrier oil or try our already Sensual blended massage oil

8 drops ylang ylang oil
12 drops lavender oil

or
8 drops lavender oil

4 drop ylang ylang oil
8 drops petitgrain oil

or
6 drops Tangerine Oil

6 drops Sandalwood Oil
6 drops ylang ylang oil

Ylang ylang oil is also great as an uplifting essential oil and this night time blend is great to try in 50ml of carrier oil.

6 drops Rosewood oil
6 drops Bergamot oil
6 drops ylang ylang oil

Circulation blend:
9 drops ylang ylang oil
6 drops Roman chamomile oil
5 drops lavender oil

Respiratory blend:
8 drops Ylang ylang oil

6 drops Frankincense oil
5 drops Cypress oil

Tea tree essential oil uses and recipes

Hair and head
Add a few drops of Tea tree essential oil to your regular shampoo to treat hair problems like persistent dandruff, itchy-scalp and even prevent head-lice. Massage it in, leave it on for 5-7 minutes and rinse off.

Bad Breath
Add 2 drps Eucalyptus essential oil with 2 drps of tea tree oil to warm water and gargle.

Colds and coughs
Add a few drops in a steam bath or vaporizer and inhale, a great relief for persistent colds and cough. Regular use of tea tree oil has been found to be effective in treating Asthma, bronchitis, catarrh, cough, sinusitis and even tuberculosis.

Cuts & Grazes
Mix together 4 drops of tea tree essential oil in 300ml of warm water and use this to clean the cut. Then apply the tea tree essential neat to the cut

General Pure Tea Tree Oil Spray
Combine 2 teaspoons of tea tree oil in 2 cups of water in pour into a spray bottle. Shake to blend. Spray areas that need antiseptic attention, such as after someone has being sick.

Tea Tree Oil Hand or Foot Soak
1/2 cup warm cider vinegar
6 drops of tea tree oil
Mix the above in a basin filled with warm water. The water should be wrist or ankle deep. Soak your hand or foot for fifteen to twenty minutes.

Fungal Nail Lotion
4 teaspoons cider vinegar
30 ml of distilled water or boiled water
10 drops lavender oil
6 drops of tea tree oil

Pour vinegar into a dark glass bottle. Add the essential oils and shake well. Then add the water and shake again. Swab affected areas with cotton 3 times daily. Shake well prior to application for each use to disperse the oils.

Athlete's Foot
Mix together in a warm foot bath 10 drops of tea tree essential oil and soak your feet for 15 to 30 minutes. Continue to do this daily until the condition improves.

Anti-Fungal Foot Massage
Mix together 2 drops of geranium oil and 3 drops of tea tree essential oil in 30ml of Grapeseed base oil

Tea Tree Oil Vaginal Ointment
6 drops of tea tree oil
1 tablespoon aloe vera gel

Add drops of tea tree oil to aloe and mix together. Apply gel directly on the vaginal area to relieve itching. An alternative application would be to coat a tampon with the gel and insert vaginally. Note: Vitamin E or Cocoa butter can be used as a substitute for the aloe gel.

essential oil tea treeTea tree oil is extracted by steam distillation of the leaves and is a great first aid essential oil due to its antifungal, and antiseptic qualities.

In general tea tree is not a skin irritant and can be used undiluted on the skin.  Used neat tea tree essential oil is effective on cold sores.  Dab it on at the first burning sensation that proceeds the blisters.  The blisters of chicken pox and shingles can be treated in the same way.  You can also use it neat to treat toenail fungus, by applying to the toenail daily.

Tea tree essential oil is invaluable for colds and flu.  Add a 2-3 drops to a bath at the first signs of cold as this is often enough to stop symptoms developing or reduce the severity.

You can use tea tree in skin washes for acne and alternate with Lavender or Bergamot essential oils.  Also Tea tree is useful in treating fungal infections like thrush, athletes foot and ringworm.  Vaginal thrush can be treated with regular douches of warm water and few drops of Tea tree oil.

Regular use of tea tree oil can be effective in treating Asthma, bronchitis, catarrh, cough, sinusitis and even tuberculosis
