Aromamassage of the face is deeply relaxing and uplifting.  It can help relieve skin problems, headaches , nasal problems such as sinusitis, slow down the ageing process and encourage relaxation. Use a massage oil or carrier oil for easy, Apricot oil or Fractionated coconut oil are recommended due to their thinner consistency.

  • Position youself at the top of the head of the person to be massaged and begin by stroking smoothly across the brow.  Stroke outwards across the cheeks and then stroke outwards across the chin.
  • Place your thumbs at the centre of the forehead just between the eyebrows, press down quite firmly and hold for 2 secs.  Lift your thumbs and place them slightly further out along the brow bone and repeat the pressure.  Continue until you have reached the outer corners of the eyes.  Work the whole forehead as far as the hairline.
  • Repeat on the cheeks and chin
  • Spread out your fingers and thumbs and place the pads on the the receivers scalp.  Circle them slowly and firmly, working gradually over the whole scalp area.
  • To complete your massage stoke the hair from the roots to the tips and allow your hands to rest gently on the temples.
