Effects of Essentials on the Digestive System

Problems of digestion usually effect the stomach, Liver and Gall bladder.  Improper eating may strain the digestive system and results in indigestion, causing spasm, colic, flatulence and constipation. 

Treatment can be by local compress over the stomach area and back massage over the lower spine area.  The following essential oils are good for the digestion system.

For painful spasms: Chamomile, Melissa, Peppermint, Aniseed, Fennel, Corriander, Cumin and Sage.

For flatulence and dyspepsia : Angelica, Basil, Peppermint, Aniseed and Cardamon.

For stomach acidity : Clove, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Ginger and Black pepper.

For stimulation the gall bladder : Peppermint and Caraway.

To encourage appetite :  Bergamot, PeppermintBasil, Aniseed, Orange and Ginger.

To promote bowel movement (constipation): Fennel, Black pepper, Camphor, Rosemary and Marjoram.
