Citronella essential oil (Cymbopogon Nardus ). Citronella oil is a natural insect and bug repellent. Due to Citronella oils antiseptic qualities it is helpful with colds, flu and minor infections and also has deodorising qualities.

Method of extraction : steam distilled from the dried grass.
Aroma: Light, fresh, grassy
Principal properties and indications : antiseptic, bactericidal, deodorant, diaphoretic, insecticide, parasitic, tonic and stimulant.

Citronella oil's most common use is as an insect repellent and is best used in sprays, diffusers or on a cotton ball amongst linen. It is also useful in ridding cats and dogs of fleas.

Citronella essential oil also helps to clear the mind and has a general toning and tonic effect on the body. Due to its antiseptic qualities it is helpful with colds, flu and minor infections and also has deodorising qualities.

Why not mix together in a basin of warm water 4 drops of citronella essential oil and 4 drops of bergamot essential oil for sweaty feet.

CAUTION: Do not use Citronella essential oil directly on the skin use a carrier oil. Avoid using on sensitive or damaged skin.
