Aniseed essential oil has a strong licorice-like flavour and bouquet. It has a calming influence on the digestive tract and is relaxing. It gives temporary relief from dry or bronchial cough, sinusitis, and the symptoms of hay fever and congested head colds.
Some Traditional uses for Aniseed Essential Oil:
Massage, bath, inhalation, compress. Diluted with carrier oil, massage Aniseed oil into chest and back or use by way of steam inhalation.
Diluted it can be used as a rub to ease muscles, menstrual pain and digestive upsets.
CAUTION Do not use directly on the skin use a carrier oil. Always use Aniseed oil cautiously. Avoid using during pregnancy.
