Apricot Kernel Oil (prunus armeniaca) is well known for its therapeutic qualities and is suitable for all skin types. A smooth light oil which is good for  facial massage.

Apricot kernel oil is particularly helpful for dehydrated, delicate, mature and sensitive skin, and it helps to soothe inflammed skin. This finely textured oil spreads easily and is particularly rich in both oleic acid and linoleic acid.

Apricot oil is used in massage oils especially for the face.  If you are looking for a fine textured carrier oil, that is easily absorbed by the skin without leaving it feeling oily Apricot oil is ideal.

Apricot oil is rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B17 and E. An ideal basic carrier oil, nourishing and protecting to the skin. This carrier oil calms skin irritation and can be used on its own or with other base oils. Good keeping qualities as it contains vitamin E. This is one the most widely used carrier oils.

A wonderful oil for making your own Salt Scrubs, soap and Massage Oils.

Use alone in a massage or with essential oils.

 SOAP MAKING:  The oil can be added to the base oils at the start of the soap making process or as a superfatting nutrient just before you add the essential oil and additives. Apricot kernel oil is often used for superfatting. It is also a good moisturiser and helps condition the skin. Use one or two ounces in every pound of fat at trace.
